I got photos of the moon rising from the moment the first tip of it was visible until it was well into the sky, but my favorite was when it seemed to be held by the tips of the trees. I love the harvest moon and am so happy that it wasn't blocked by clouds. Best on black.

I think this might be my favorite. It's composed so well and the colors are perfect. Makes me feel like I should be in a cabin with hot chocolate and a good book. Don't get those sights in my neck of the woods.
Fabulous...our moon had no color at all either last night or this morning. Very disappointing despite getting a good shot of the full moon -- it just looked same-old, same-old in my neck of the woods.
A beautiful detailed photo of the moon and its geographical features. Isn't it funny how the moon always appears biggest just above the horizon - it must ba an optical illusion.
Amazing capture . I had a hard time with my setting this year for the harvest moon at the beach. Oh well there's always next week and the super moon coming up before the end of the year.
