You Are Interupting My Hunt

I am totally THRILLED! Last night I was taking Pearly out for her before bed walk and saw something fly in front of me in the darkness. I searched the tree I thought it might have flown to, thinking it must be an owl, and there it was!!! I ran for my camera and asked Jim to come hold the flashlight. This was shot at ISO 8063! But I needed that much to get anything. I can hardly believe it and couldn't wait to share it. I will have to look up and see what kind of owl it is but have a crazy busy day ahead.
Thanks so much for your fabulous response to yesterday's egret and for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs. They mean a lot to me
Great capture Jane! Love those bright eyes!

Oh Jane, you have achieved my ultimate bucket list shot. I habe never captured an owl that was not in captivity. I've been known to troll my hood when an owl's calls woke me at 2am (to no avail). How exciting!

Super capture. Would have thought the light might have scared it away. But lucky it didn't. Wish I could hunt for mine at night, but they close the park. :-(
