Jim took this week off work and we'd planned to go on a little trip but today is probably the only day all week that it won't rain so we decided to stay home. we went on a sunrise shoot which I will probably share tomorrow and as we drove past an osprey nest, I noticed that the osprey were back. So after we got home, I gathered up my bird lens and went to see if I could catch any action. I am sparing you the X rated shots but I thought this was pretty cool. He did bring one little branch for the nest, but, after mating he flew off and when he returned and she was calling out for him to bring her some food, he sat on a nearby tree and ate the whole fish himself. If I could, I would tell him I don't think he is good father material. She called and called to him for food and he totally ignored her.

Just an awesome shot. One of my favorites all time on 365. Fav, of course. My favorite shots are those that show the behavior of the birds, along with their setting. Pictures of tethered birds in sanctuaries and bird shows are fine, but this is so much better.
