Bridge In Foggy Twilight

Thanks so much for your wonderful response to my red jacket on the pier shot. I'm really happy you liked it.
This shot is best on black if you have time and inclination. For the past year or two, they have been doing rebuild/ maintenance on our beautiful local McCullough bridge so it has been less photogenic than usual with wood barriers and such. Right now it is more accessible but when I went to photograph it in the foggy night, I found a huge obnoxious bright white light. I was bummed but played around with toning it down a bit.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
Fantastic shot. Nice double supsension bridge, you did VERY WELL with the extra light troubles.

You really did an excellent job with the editing to tone that white. Love the reflections and the feel of the fog around the water. Fav

You certainly toned down that big white spot - but does it still just seem a little off key with the rest? Very annoying for you in such a nice image.

@robz do you have a suggestion?

@jgpittenger Hi Jane - I feel a bit funny giving you suggestions - I'm only very new to this hobby and your photos leave me in awe. However, my impression was that the toned down bit seemed to have become the major focus point in the image because of its whiteness - maybe if it was changed just a little to have more of the hue of the water and sky and darkened a little it may complement the rest of the photo rather than dominate it. As I said - this is just a personal feeling!! I hope you didn't mind my comment - I did really mean that it must have been annoying for you after all your bother... Cheers Rob

@robz thank you, thank you. It is such a gift to have someone take the time to help you go the next step with a photo. I’m going to try your suggestion in next few days. Bless you
