Best on black. I guess they call it a sturgeon moon because sturgeon are running this time of year. The river is beginning to fill with fishermen. After my friend and I shot the moon just rising at Siltcoos, we went back to town and shot the moon higher in the sky after it was getting darker. Unfortunately that meant the moon rays in the water blew out. It was still an awe inspiring sight. I enjoy Mars still being so visible in the sky.
Thanks for taking yesterday's rising moon shot to the PP. I'm so glad you liked it. And thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
A stunning night shot, Jane. Beautiful composition with the big moon just hanging there and reflecting on the water. IMO the blown-out bits don't matter at all. Is this the same bridge you shot a week or so ago with the annoying white light?
I like the way you have organized to have the moon and its reflections right on the edge of the image - they really grab your eye - and then afterwards you have time to appreciate the bridge and its lighting....
