What a thrill!!! We were walking up our long driveway yesterday late afternoon and I saw an owl fly across and land in a nearby tree. Jim offered to go get my camera so I put Pearl in a sit/stay and we watched as the owl checked us out, turned its head every direction, and showed its wonderful self. Unfortunately, of course when Jim came back up the driveway with my camera it flew to a far more distant and shadowed spot. But I was thrilled to get the shots I did even though really noisy.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs. We have run out of data for the internet for the month so I may or may not be able to view your photos for the next couple of days. So sorry
What a thrill to see and enjoy and capture! Having been to your place I like imagining where in that long drive way this was, ever-supportive Jim going back to get the camera, perfectly behaved Pearl sitting-staying, and you admiring that owl in wonder. Must get back to Oregon . . .
Great capture. I think this one might be one of the Barred Owls, similar to the ones that I post frequently. Sorry I didn't get back to you the other day. It's always fun for me when I can find them around here.
