Best large and on black to see his eyes and all the feather detail. The three hummers that seem to be planning to overwinter at our place get really active when the sun comes out as it did yesterday. His bright red face and gullet were flashing brightly as he flew. At this time of year, the hummers are really easily spooked so it is hard to get the in flight because it is so unpredictable. But he sat down for just a flash of a moment and the sun was right to make the red pop.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs and for taking both of my photos to the PP yesterday!
Oh my! I got so excited in Peru when I captured (very poorly) a stunning hummer that I've never seen before. Actually, there is only one type I've seen in person before that. This is just so lovely with all the detail. I agree, it must be viewed on black!
