More rain and more PS play. I added reflections and rays. Does it work do you think? We've had 10" of rain in the past week! I've been practicing some of the techniques in Scott Kelby's new book "Photoshop for Lightroom Users." It's a wonderful book.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
I like the reflections with the undefined boundary. Not so sure about the rays - should they change direction at the boundary? Did you add them before or after the reflection? :)
@robz I added them after the reflection...not sure what you are thinking re should they change direction at the boundary...but I sure appreciate your thoughtful comments. Can you speak more tomwhat you are thinking re the change of direction?
@jgpittenger Hi again Jane - it's probably just a remnant of my science teaching days - reflections being light rays bending, therefore if we have a reflection of the egret should we also have the rays bending or reflecting? Would it be interesting to put the rays in before doing the reflection and see what the program does with them? See which looks better? All just thoughts - maybe in real life the rays wouldn't bend as they have a different angle when hitting the water? This is why I love composites - so many bits and pieces to consider and then there's usually something that looks not right anyway!! Lol. Cheers Rob
@robz and that’s why I love people who give thoughtful critique because I sensed something didn’t quite work and I had no idea what! I may try again changing the order but I did a lot of masking out of the reflection so I have my doubts...worth a try though. Thank you, thank you
