Lotus and Bees

Best on black. I wish I'd been well enough to photo this throughout its blooming phase but I was delighted to get this shot. Jim carried my tripod 200 ft up the road for me. I lugged my camera and got there winded. Oh my! But I got to take the shot before we leave tomorrow. What a gorgeous flower. Apparently the yellow part in the center fills up with seeds as it matures and then collapse downward emptying its seed below. What was originally one lotus plant has spread.
