Mom Peregrine Falcon Flying Off After Feeding Babies
I've not gotten to the peregrine falcon nest before while the babies are still at the puffball stage. They were so cute! You can see all three of them if you look carefully. The nest is WAY up on a high cliff so this was shot at 600 mm and severely cropped. I'd like it to be sharper but I don't have a lens with any longer reach and I was tickled to get this good a shot. We watched and waited for about an hour and a half while the mom screeched at dad to go get food for the babies. He finally did but then proceeded to eat much of the caught little bird himself before taking the leftovers to the babies. More shots to follow.
