Hummer with Deformed Feet in the Lucifer

I went out to shoot the hummers in the Lucifer again and when I looked at this shot on my computer, it looks to me as if this rufous hummingbird had deformed feet. What do you think?

I went and looked at some of my hummer photos and some were curled up, some were tucked in and you couldn’t see them and some were not curled up. I think it may depend on what they’re doing. Nice photo.

They do look funny but would he still be able to survive if they were deformed - do they often have to rest on branches? (they must use so much energy when active.) It's another fabulous image! :)
