Baby Crossbill by jgpittenger

Baby Crossbill

We seem to have baby birds everywhere. This little crossbill was on the ground but working hard to get back up to feeder height.
I think the cedar waxwing mom from yesterday came back this morning for her baby and helped him fly to a safer spot. I hope so. A friend who knows more about birds than I do says often babies have areas that get feathers later. I'm hoping!
