Sheltering Her Young From the Heat On Top of the Bridge
I've been purging old photos to clear up space on my hard drive...what an experience that has been! So many poorly focused images I would never accept now but were as good as I could do in 2012. Lots of sweet memories. And occasional shots, like this one, that seem to deserve another look. This osprey nest was on top of a bridge and it was a sweltering day. Mom seemed to be spreading her wings to give her babies a chance to escape the heat.

You couldn't have posed them any better if you had tried - Mum is doing such a wonderful job sheltering that little one below her and I love the way they are all looking out in the same direction. And it has your wonderful trademark clarity. :)
It is amazing to see the growth in our photography skills thanks to 365. I am trying to do better at least in culling current stuff. I ask myself would I show this on 365 and often if the answer is no hit delete unless it's a personal shot. I love the way you caught the mom doing what mom's do - protect their babies
