House Finch and Blackheaded Grosbeak in the Rain

Best on black. We have now had 105 3/8" of rain since October 10th. No wonder I am uninspired. I shot these last evening in the rain with ISO of 128000!

And, on the same branch! I like how you captured the rainy weather to show the birds. Once, it was pouring torrentially and flood alerts were sounding on my phone as I was driving to a birding event. I texted the leader to ask if the walk was being called off but he simply wrote back, :"There will be birds." And there were. Wet ones like these.

Such an amazing capture, I was not even aware that iso could be so high!

And we have had maybe 5” since January 1. I envy the rainfall in the Pacific Northwest, but 105” does seem a bit much. This is a lovely image, perfectly in focus, even in the rain.

oh yikes, that is a lot of rain. Even with pro light and iso high this is a fantastic shot to get both of them on one branch and in one shot.

I thought we got a lot of rain, but you are double ours. Great detail for such a high ISO.

Great capture. You cleaned it up very well for such high ISO. Send some of that rain down this way.

Those two look about as happy as you are about the rain, again. Amazing what the Sony can do with high ISO. Fav!
