NF-SOOC-2017 Munsel Lake

For the September 50 mm SOOC challenge. This is where we swim every day during May-October and where we were swimming a couple of days ago when Jim's car got clouted. We have been swimming here since probably 1980 and never had a problem before with break ins. So disheartening.

Such a shame, do you think they knew your routine? A perfect spot such as this too. I applaud your exercise, must be so invigorating, beats a chlorine swimming baths anyday!

A lovely photo of what looks like a great swimming hole. Car break-ins seem to be increasing over here too. And it seems they do watch the car park areas for opportunities - especially preying on tourists. The Council is even putting up warning signs. I hope they caught them!!

Looks like a wonderful swimming hole, what a shame that some low-lives have ruined the ambience for you. Sorry to sound ignorant but does 'clouted' mean broken-into in your parlance? Here it means 'hit', by fist or another vehicle. If that's the case, I do hope not too much damage was done.

@golftragic broken in to by breaking glass and letting them in to steal. I love hearing the language differences

@robz not much in the way of cops or sheriffs here so they probably won't though the fact that there seems to be a drug dealing at the heart of it may make them more interested

Awesome capture. Looks like a great place to swim. Sorry to hear about the scumbags that wouldn't mind their own business.

Pretty black and white. Too bad about the break-in!

@jgpittenger Yes, me too. I've always been a keen student of the English language and love to learn the relatively slight differences between Aussie, NZ and US English, though I do have trouble with some of the more local British terms. Thank you for humouring me.
