Tent Caterpillars on Cottonwood Tree

I was playing around with photoshop with a photo I took of tent caterpillars in Zion NP. Apparently every 8-9 years they have devastating invasions but even so these sturdy trees seem to be able to survive. I think they are pretty if I don't think about devastation

Haven't seen tent caterpillars in years! We used to be plagued by them in Washington when I was a kid.
