We had a wander out in the car this afternoon. First, a visit to Ulverston where we bought my new Nikon Camera for my birthday in December (eeek!) and a second lens for Christmas (double eeeek!). On to Greenodd where we found a newly opened bakery (obligatory purchase of fresh baked bread, scones, and a couple of Shepherd's pies for dinner this evening). On to Torver to sort out some bits for Andrew's car and finally into Coniston where Andrew suggested we drive up to the Fells to see if we could find a photo opportunity (I do so love my husband!). And here we are - Coniston Fells with the pathway on the left leading to Coniston Old Man 1 1/2 miles away, the cloud cover slowly falling again (heavy rain for most of the day) and one of the local inhabitants - she looked my way when I whistled :-)
PP on 15/11/2014 - thank you for all your views, comments and fav's.
@quietpurplehaze Hazel, it's lucky it's only daubed with one colour. Some of the sheep around here are multi-coloured lol. So looking forward to trying out and learning how to use my new camera - but have to wait till 23rd December :-(
@quietpurplehaze Another person who has a birthday just before Christmas :-) I absolutely love my Panasonic Lumix G6 Hazel - it's so easy to use, takes cracking photo's and isn't heavy. Not sure how I'm going to get on with a Nikon but I found it easier to use than a Canon when I tried them. Not having a touch screen or one that tilts is going to be a challenge, but I've learned lots from my G3 and G6 and want to learn a bit more. I will still use my G6 - no intentions of getting rid of it.
Jill, thanks for the feedback. I think my problem is that I am always trying to get every spec in one camera! So I end up in indecision!! Our daughter's birthday is 3 days after Christmas........She was due just before my birthday and I remember that was quite an uncomfortable Christmas!
A stunning view and composition ! Love the inquisitive sheep photo bombing and adding to the charm of the capture FAV- thanks for your comment on "my little man " and I like what I see in your folder -- so shall now follow you !
Oh that's interesting, have never seen multi-coloured daubs, guess the sheep are not worried! (My birthday is 19th Dec....)
