Why can't I open them????

I tried this morning to capture a shot of our Springer Spaniel Archie investigating the presents under the tree again. He likes to help take the wrapping off presents - he uses his teeth and a paw! - and every morning since the presents were put under the tree he sits and stares at them, then stares at us. Made worse by the fact that he helped me unwrap my birthday presents yesterday, he keeps sitting there with the patience of a saint. He's a good lad though - he hasn't touched one of them! He's going to have some fun tomorrow morning........
