I have this island photo as one of my screen-saver images but in bright sunlight and hot weather -- what a different scene here. Your angle gives such a nice line into the scene.

@jjeppsen Great lines. I like how the clouds mirror the horizontal line of the island. I did a workshop years ago and the instructors all shoot in Aperture Priority mode, only going full manual when circumstances called for it. You might want to start with Aperture Priority before you go full manual. Also, are you shooting in RAW? That gives you way more information to work with in your editing.

Thanks April for the suggestion on Aperture Priority! I will try it. It's a lot less intimidating to try this than to jump right into the full manual. Yes, I'm shooting in RAW. I'm obviously only beginning the editing process as well. Thanks again.
