Beach groynes

Walking along the beach on Hayling Island I noticed the groynes. You can see why they are needed with the erosion caused by the tidal currents.

I like the pov and the soft colours - was trying to guess the beach but only managed Littlehampton!

Lovely shot, I like the leading lines. It must take a lot of upkeep with the tide giving the groynes a hammering.

@quietpurplehaze @onewing @30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks for the comments. It was a brisk walk in a cold wind along Hayling Is. front at East Stoke. They have to dredge the west end of the beach and move it to the east end in a continuous operation. Otherwise flooding is a worry for the residents.
