Keeping the camera with me in the car at all times has always worked out well. Tuesday I went out to run a errand just before dinner and noticed that the sky had that special look to it as I was driving. I headed down Shore Road instead of the highway and found a good spot to pull over and take a few just as the sun was dropping below the tree line. Just have to be ready at all times as you can't plan these photos.
It's the little things that add to pictures. The contrail from a passing jet just adds the right touch with the whte streak in the sky..
Excellent photo. Love the colours, the shadows, the reflection on the water, and of course, the contrail. I agree with you about always being ready to take a photo. Although I now use a DSLR, I still carry a compact camera with me if I'm out and about. It doesn't matter how good my camera is if I don't have it with me!
I love it! Thanks for your comment on my cowgirl's smile. We have the same camera, and I love seeing what others capture with the same equipment. I am mostly a family photographer, but also enjoy photographing the beauty around me.
