A Magnificent Machine

Just want to reach out and touch it. The space shuttle Enterprise flyover yesterday was awesome.

I was lucky enough to see it twice, got to see both sides. Nasa flew it up and down the Hudson.

We decided to go over at the last minute and jumped into the car and ran over to the west side to try and find a spot. Thank god that the Cross Bronx Expressway cooperated. Normally it's a parking lot and not a highway.. Got onto the West Side Highway and started driving down while listing to reports on the radio. Made it to the exit for the 79th Street boat basin. Several cars pulled off and were parking on the side of the exit. We have the greatest police here. the 2 officers that were there made sure that you were not blocking traffic and let you stay and gave reports they were getting over the radio.

Made it with 5 minutes to spare
check out yesterday's also

Planes can carry an entire space shuttle and they complain about our bags being too heavy! Absurb, I tell you. This is so cool. Lucky you for being able to see it live.

Joseph, this one just took my breath away. The sheer size not only of the shuttle and airplane, but the achievements that they represent. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and you did such a magnificent job with it. Thisis a Fav for the history books. Al my best, Les
