Just teddy and me by jo365

Just teddy and me

Captured this gorgeous shot of my little fellow watching the birds out of the window with "Eddie" his kinder room bear mascot

Other than changing to b&w this photo is SOOC so please give me critique on what may make it better. I really don't know how to photoshop etc but would love to learn :)
really love this shot :D

For SOOC and no adjustments to colour levels when turning it B&W you nailed it, it's gorgeous!

Life doesn't get any better than this. Simple and perfect.

Awesome portrait! I wouldn't change anything, the pose, light and B&W conversion all work so well.

I always love shots using natural light, as you have done. Also, I like kids mostly natural too, and he's focused on those birds and his teddy. lovely shot.

I think this is one of my favourite all time favs, it makes my heart melt whenever I look at it

All mine are SOOC or what ever it is. I figure a day in my life, other than shooting in B&W which Blue does by changing the setting, is a day in my life.

I wouldn't change this photo at all, it is really good. All my photos are sooc too, I wouldn't know where to start to change anything.

@farmboy9155 @kjarn - In general, the most I do is take out some shadows and lighten my photos up. Sometimes I will soften a photo or blur the edges but I don't know how to photoshop or anything fancy!!!

This is a stunning shot. Absolutely beautifully done.

@ceenkhoorn - thankyou Cristina. This was my first proper try at using window lighting and it turned out so well :D

Just beautiful with that window light!

With your PP, the only thing I can suggest is a little dodging of his face (to lighten it) as the highest contrast is the teddy bear's white face, and this distracts a little from your subject. It's a tricky thing to balance. I think you did great with your b&w conversion, and the shot itself is fantastic!

@jinximages - thankyou so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it and really need to learn a lot more about the editing programs.

Looooovely shot. :)

Saw this on 2010 pick and I must of missed it in oyur album. It is a great shot. The pensive look is shown more in B&W I think. If I had the choice of your shots 2 spring to mind...the strawberry story and the cricket ball. I would probably come down on the side of the strawb story however.

@farmboy9155 thankyou - I know you like the strawberry one, shows what a character he is!! Interesting on the cricket ball, thanks for the feedback!! Looks like we are heading to the land of the long white cloud this year for the first time, very exciting. We have friends living in Christchurch at the moment so we are visiting for a ski trip!!
