Remembrance Day by jo365

Remembrance Day

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. LEST WE FORGET
Now that is really beautiful. We will remember them.

@robinwarner thankyou @farmboy9155 I did want to capture the emotion of the day. Samuel has always marched on ANZAC Day (our day to remember the Australian & New Zealand Forces) since he was a little fellow in a pram. Yesterday when we headed down to our local cenotaph he was very interested in the avanue of honour and the name plaques under the trees. I think it is important that our children grow up remembering why we live in such a wonderful place

It IS important, and nothing conveys the thoughtfulness we should all have, than that of a child hearing the stories for the first time. Great shot.

This is a really touching photo--well done. I think Flander's Fields is the one, complete poem I remember from Canadian elementary school (well, that and Jabberwocky...go figure)
