Same variety of Cicada as yesterday

Emerging from its pupal case. See those little yellowish flaps each side... those are the wings. I was watching it for a little while, there was a bit of sideways movement as it strained to come away from the casing upside down as well... The wings will take about half an hour to unfurl with the blood being pumped through
Oh, I wish I hadn't seen that just before breakfast. Fantastic detail!

@fbailey its a sony rx10111 digital camera, so not a SLR. I wanted one with a zoom lense and I'm really happy with it. There's a lot in the menus which l still find confusing because l haven't had the camera very long. Not interested in changing lenses, SLR, but still want to take some bird shots, with the 600mm. zoom as well, mind you I'm absolutely hopeless at getting birds in flight shots, something you need lots of practice at l suppose.

@fbailey forgot to add close up is pretty good to use as well, but not a true macro for very small creatures
