White Birches by joansmor

White Birches

Had a different picture I was going to upload today but I have been playing with my photos. I like the way this one came out. Surprise, surprise it is bracket and processed in Fusion-Hdr. I tried it in BW but didn't like it. So I added color but in a muted way. I like it and hope you will too. Anyway I had fun processing it.
Fantastic, just the way I remember it!

@linnypinny @vignouse @jporcaro I couldn't think what it was about the affect but painterly does say it.

I really like the muted colors. Reminds me of a picture on wood,

Wonderful processing; the birches with the water look great - fav

As your get-pushed partner this week, I will give you a choice:
1. A diptych where one is taken at low tide and the other at high tide [when my brother lived in Cape Elizabeth, the tides always amazed me, but that was before digital cameras, so I never took the shots :( ]
Or
2) This week we have a blue moon (next one is in 2018) and I did not notice any full moon photos, so how about one

If neither of these are acceptable, let me know and I will come up with another - good lu

@hjbenson I don't live at the coast so the tide thing would be a problem especially with my work and my sister visiting. I will try for a moon if it comes out early enough as it has been over a year since I took one.

This looks very painterly and beautiful.

The muted colors work perfectly. I love birch trees, though they have such relatively short life spans.

@joansmor Joan, I thought with the pictures if the lighthouses, which I really like, that you did; so as a second alternative an interior night photo with only a candle as the source of light.

This is just down right lovely Joan. I think it would look good hanging in Audrey's art room. Beautiful processing.
