Today we grove down the interstate to Asheville, NC thinking to capture a picture of the Biltmore Estates. Turns out you cannot even see the estate for less than $60 per person. Nope too rich for our blood. So decided to scoot down to Gatlinburg, Tn. Esmeralda took us on a road wide enough for 1 1/2 cars and we met another car. Made it out alive. Supper at a local smokehouse. Small piece of heaven. No picture taken. So this is from the Blue Ridge yesterday.
You're up there the perfect time I bet. I was thinking about now or next week would just be ideal around that neck of the woods. Just love all the color as far as you can see. Can't say I don't blame you for not stopping at Biltmore, a postcard would do me fine if they're charging that much!
Egad -- that's incredible! That must be some view to make it worth paying that amount. I think the mountains and color are stunning -- natural beauty wins.
Gorgeous view. Surprised that there isn't more color there yet either. I can't wait to go to the Biltmore, but it's about 4 hours from us and we just haven't had time.
