The shot that didn't succeed

This is one of the "horizonless" shots I tried for last weeks get-pushed. I didn't hate it I just liked the one I posted better. So I played around a little tonight and like the processing here. Not a great shot but passable I think. The grungy works for me.

Nicely done

Intriguing with the snow on the ground. Great processing.

I like the grunge in this too, and it doesn't work well for most of the images I try it on. It's good for me to see it like this--quite inspiring!

I like the graininess and think it does well. I'd never thought about horizonless shots and am now more aware of the role of horizon and how hard it is to do a shot like this because of your efforts, so thanks!

I like the grunge too Joan...also the pov and light in the trees. Nice processing.

Never heard of horizonless shots. But you did a great job on this photo, processing and all.

The processing is great, I love how the front grave stones stand out in this photo.

I hesitated before commenting on this Joan, but I've decided that, for me, while grunge and graveyards make an alliterative pair, they don't go together photographically. Great idea to experiment though.

More importantly, you haven't posted for a couple of days which is most unlike you... are you all right? I do worry about you driving in the winter conditions.

@vignouse It was in the 50's here today and nearly 60 one other day so not a lot of bad driving. Check your email.

@vignouse What address did you use. If my fairpoint I won't get it until Tues or Wed. If My Hotmail will depend if I can get it today.
February 5th, 2016
@joansmor I used the Fairpoint address - no urgency now because you've confirmed that you're OK... when I get a minute later on, I'll send it to your Hotmail address as well. Keep smiling...
