I have mentioned before that I belong to a group that used to be on Weight Watchers and is now on Facebook. We are called Caregivers and Greivers. The other day one of the members was having a bad period. So I told her the next day when she was having coffee to put a cup out for me and I would put one out for her at my place and we would have coffee together and she could tell me all about her current problems. It is merely a symbolic jester to let her know I understand how hard it is for her and am there for her. We have had coffee several mornings. So I brought new coffee cups (I have a weakness for coffee mugs) and conceived this picture which I will post on our private groups posting tomorrow. Now before anyone says anything there is no coffee in that mug that might accidently be spilled on my lap top. I have made a commitment to myself to try to take more daily shots. So this fulfills that too. If anyone is having a bad time put up a mug for me and we can have coffee together too. If @vignouse joins me I still have some whisky I can add to his coffee.
What a lovely idea. You say its just a symbolic gesture but I'll bet it means a lot to your friend. Nice image too. I was thinking how brave you are putting a cup of coffee on your laptop 😀
What a wonderful supporting idea and nicely illustrated. Don't you dare put whisky in my coffee - it spoils both. The only thing you should add to whisky... is more whisky - I'll take mine in a separate glass ;-))
I'm in- just put hot chocolate in mine! I love mugs too- particularly ones made and glazed by potters but I've had to put a stop to getting them due to lack of cupboard space and an unwillingness to get rid of ones I already have! LOL This is a great way to let someone know they're being thought of. Good for all of you!
@sdutoit I hoped you would see this as I was thinking of you when I posted. Hope you have found a group like mine. It helps to have contact with others.
thought provoking.
