Have you ever been inspired by a news story to go take a picture. Tuesday we had a Noreaster, which was mostly sleet, and a story on the news was about how this kicked up great surf. The best surfing in Maine is in the winter, They said things would smooth out on Wed and make for great surfing though less reckless. So this morning I headed to Gooch's Beach where I took surfing pictures last year. Got a great spot - much better than last year. Here is a link to last years which was seriously cropped. You caught the action wonderfully! Although it just boggles my mind that someone would do this in winter, it does look like fun. Love this in b&w - that's some surf! Fav
What a fab image.. great capture of the board 'cutting' a trough through the water, with it's resultant spray.. loving the waves and the spume flying.. i'm definitely getting the feeling of 'its too cold for this'... a great action shot, love how the boarder is sandwiched between the two exploding sprays of spume...
