Freelensing by joansmor

Freelensing

@shesnapped challenged me to try freelensing this week. Ah a new challenge. I haven'e tried this because I wasn't interested before but now it is something I am going to play with. For one thing when I watched the two videos she suggested it occurred to me the 50mm prime from my old film camera might work for this. I couldn't pick up anything with my short zoom and I don';t have a prime for my DSLR. So I hunted the prime and got it to work. FOr one think this prime has no auto features therefore I could adjust the focus and the fstop. I am hooked Ashley. If anyone can make any suggestions I am open to them.
Well done Joan.. love that small, tight bit of focus and the oh so soft OOF blooms

i've never even thought of trying freelensing - i have enough crud get to my camera's sensor without inviting more.. :-)

Wow - you blew this challenge right out of the water - what a great result. What makes it so good for me is that it's a great image... full stop. It doesn't rely on the way it was made for its quality.
