My get-pushed was to shot either a Thanksgiving prep shot - I don't really do anything for Thanksgiving anymore except take a photo ride if the weather is nice, so no prep. Or take a holiday shot. I don't know if I am decorating this year - I didn't last year but I didn't feel good. Too soon to decide. So I thought I would have to go to the store and take a picture. But then it snowed a tad bit last night and an idea was formed. Mother nature prepping for the holiday. And I get another Nov17words - snow. A twofer. This because I remembered to look out my back door this morning and hey a little sunrise color to boot.
So pretty!! I love a nice snow dusting!! I kind of can't wait for it :). I think it's a perfect shot for Holiday Prep :). Hope you feel better this Holiday season!
Get yourself into best form, Joan. Don't beat yourself up about decorations if you don't feel up to it. We didn’t do any for Christmas last year. What a good decision...no hassle, no problem with Mitzi or Chania, no failed lights. More time for us and ours. 5* no brainer! Think about what you 'want' from the holiday, rather than what you think you 'should' do. Be yourself...live dangerously, no rules is liberating ;-)
@s4sayer I love to decorate the Christmas tree. I have a lot of ornaments that belong to my grandparents. Although I gave a way a lot last year when I thought I might be moving. I would like to find one of those porcelain trees with the lights built in. Just enough to give me a little color. Umm let me go check out Amazon.
@s4sayer I just ordered one a simple way to have a little Christmas color. Somehow your saying I could do what I want made me decide this is what I want. I actually looked in the store for one last year. Didn't think about Amazon.
I'm glad the snow is up by you and not by me- although I do like just a little bit around Christmas. I miss the Christmasses where we decorated a tree and everything was so special, but with my sons living farther away and no one coming to visit us for the holiday it was too much work for me and I had to stop. Now I just put angels and greens on the mantle and on one table top. It's better than nothing and makes me feel a little better. So I think you made a good decision for you by finding a happy medium with your little ceramic Christmas tree. I think they're so pretty!
@olivetreeann Last year when I didn't feel good I didn't do anything but I like a little color so last night I ordered a porcelain tree with lights. A little color without a lot of work. Then my niece is decorating this year and has invited me offer. She has a lot of my old ornaments. And a good photo opp. I am lucky she lives right next door in the house I grew up in. It is my sister in Florida who is all alone.
