Ordinarily I work in the afternoon on Wednesdays, But the storm was supposed to be at it's worst in afternoon so I went in this morning. When I left at noon it had been snowing a little over 1/2 an hour. The ride home wasn't bad just s-l-o-w. They closed the office at 13:30 so good thing I went in early. No work tomorrow.
I wouldn't mind a day or two of this but our local authorities are not equipped to deal with anything over a slight sprinkling of snow so it would be chaos! Be careful - both driving and walking.
We ended up getting at least 6 inches. However, I didn't take a measuring stick out to see exactly how much we got. All I know is that my wife won't let me clean out our driveway because of my restrictions. All the schools in the county cancelled today's classes.
If all people knew just to travel s-l-o-w-l-y winter would be much easier. Think that's the main problem - at least when it isn't 8" high. Around here, 1/2 closes everything down. People have no idea how to drive! Walk carefully - those spills hurt.
It does look slippery. I do not envy your on again, off again winter weather. At least our snow stays and so it is easier to deal with - just have to shovel and plow until it is done and then it goes away.
