Massabesic Experimental Forest by joansmor

Massabesic Experimental Forest

I worked in the morning and had my car serviced in the afternoon. So coming home I looked for some pictures which might work for texture or pattern. I particularly like the thin trunks of these trees something that in summer is not so noticeable. I like too that in this picture you know where the sun is- low and to the right[ as it lights up the trunks. The snow of the last storm has been melting away.
The sunlit trees are a welcome presage of Spring.

I think I like the texture produced by all that contrast the best in this shot. Good eye!

I like the way you framed it, with the density of the thin trunks. What makes it experimental? Or is that just the name it was given when it was started?

Hi Joan, we’re gp-partners again. Could you do a b&w collage of kitchen-items, groceries, well you probably get my meaning. If this is not good for you let me know and I dream up something else.

@jacqbb good idea because flashofred has negative space and these items would work well.

@taffy They are testing something you can read about it here https://www.fs.fed.us/ne/durham/4155/massabes.htm#INT

Certainly works for a textural shot! Nice light to enhance the trunks.
