Mourning Dove

I used to think it was morning dove. This one is looking for goodies on the patio as I sit waiting for the power to come back on. Loving the deck I had built last fall.

We have alot of these doves.. just resently turned up.. we call them the boring birds.. because of their monotone calk..

I know they are a dime a dozen there are so many of them, but I personally really like their soft cooing in the morning as I wake up. I only hear them on the weekends because I am up before them during the week.
