From Saturday at Wells Beach as I was aiming my camera on the rocks as the waves were splashing over them. My hope was to catch a good splash. Didn't happen but kind of liked this sudsy rock photo.
I am posting this bit just because someone may have a better idea than mine. Louise from my Camera Club uses her cellphone. She was disappointed when we had to severely crop some of her photos to get them to the 8x10 inch format for the fair. Her cellphone more closely matches an 8X14 format. To get her to see what a picture may look like when she is taking it I made a mask out of cardboard that is the overall size of her cellphone and then a cutout the would be the size that would relate to an 8x10 format. Then she can not include something in her photo that will be cropped out later. The actual photo is the same size as the cellphone takes but when you use it there is plenty on the sides to crop away. Is there an app that she can look through when photographing or a nonhomemade mask?
Stay safe this Friday the 13th - looking forward to those Harvest Moon shots.
