Wells Beach Backwater by joansmor

Wells Beach Backwater

If you have followed me for a while you know my interest in the backwater areas of beaches. When we went to the beach for sunrise, we stopped on the marsh on the way down capturing the beauty of the cottages backlight in the colors of predawn. On the way home, we stopped again but concentrated on the golden light on the Marsh. I will probably post some color photos next week in March. I did think some of these looked really good in bw.

I struggle every morning when I post because on my laptop the photo can seem to be at a good exposure but on my tablet, it appears too dark. So I go into Picmonkey to try to find an exposure that works well with both. When it is a color picture the problem can be that it looks cool on the laptop and warm on the tablet. It has made me aware that one of the difficulties of a digital format is people will get different views on different media. I try to remember that when I think a photo is too dark or too light. too blue or too yellow.
I'm amazed at how different the same photo looks on each of my devices.

The problem you describe is why they sell screen calibrators...

@vignouse Don't think I want to spend the money as it only fixes part of the problem. Doesn't fix how others see my pictures.

@joansmor No, but if it's spot on when it leaves you it gives others the best chance of seeing the image as you intended.
