Taking a break from Autumn photos to post a diary entry. Our grocery store doesn't offer delivery or pick up service but they have now added Instacart. So I ordered my groceries on line yesterday and scheduled delivery for first thing this morning. I got text when the shopping started and received on text about a substitute which I approved. The person brought them up my outside steps and I loved that. Can really see who helpful this will be in winter. And gives me a little more time. You pay for the service but so far I liked it. But I learned to pay attention to sizes. Got 24 ounce yogurt when I wanted 8 ounce and didn't look at price. GOt extra large eggs instead of large. But I can live with this.
We're fortunate...we live in the sticks...which suits us well. R cooks and enjoys shopping etc., whilst I look after Mitzi (K9) and Chania (long time resident stray cat).
It's amazing what Covid has spawned. Our little local store has become a life-saver for our older folks in the village (older than me of course). A delivery service and post your letters! Go for it!
It is very helpful. My store will do the shopping and load it into your car. It's really helpful when I know I'm in too much pain to walk through the whole store so I'll order everything but the fresh stuff, pick that up and then let them know I'm there to pick up my order. Easy breezy!
