Sanford Sports Performance Center

This is where I start my day on Wednesday. I am working on my balance particularly trying to strengthen my right leg. My right foot is totally flat and turns to the right almost at 90 degrees unless I concentrate. THe whole leg is now twisted off kilter. I will probably eventually have my foot sort of locked into a straightforward position. But that requires an operation and I am not ready for that. One because of the rampant covid and two because it is winter. I will have to be off the foot for six weeks. Not a good winter activity.
Oh I hope physical therapy can help you and you can avoid that surgery. My goodness, so sorry about this.

Good Luck with your therapy. I don't blame you for holding off on surgery during these trying times.

Hopefully the PT can help. I was supposed to have surgery on my ankle and breaking up my heel bone, slicing a chunk off it and putting it back straighter with two pins in. I didn't fancy that! So I went for Physio and for the last 3 years have done much better and so far avoided surgery, so I heartily wish you well.

So good to be able to do physiotherapy. Much better if we can concentrate on fixing ourselves!
I also do physio but it has been postponed due to Covid though I still do my exercises every day.

Wishing you well with your physiotherapy. The name of this place made me smile. People often wrongly spell our surname like this 😊

Poor you - I didn't realise you were so inconvenienced . Sure hope the therapy will stave off the surgery for a while longer.

You have my sympathy Joan. Many moons ago, l had a nasty fall whilst trampolining. In spite of significant treatment, it wasn't a great success. I found more solace and improvement through swimming…my favourite leisure activity. Recent 'closures' and inactivity haven't made it any easier. However Fang (aka Mitzi) and l do our bit to maintain health etc. Hang on in there…think about what you want to do when Spring arrives. Go gently, don't bash yourself up about that which you can't/don't want to do. Life is a journey to be enjoyed. We need to grasp the nettle, face the challenge…and move on.

Go Girl, you can do it!
