Ring tail possum by jodies

Ring tail possum

I was so pleased to spot this little guy as they are nocturnal, must have just woken up. Isn't it just the sweetest thing.
These possums are a threatened species in this area due to their habitat being destroyed, like so many native species in Australia. I could rant on all day about this but I won't.
Neat capture.

They are so cute aren't they! Except when they are in your roof or ransacking your camp! 😄

Lovely capture, Jodie. I've seen several possum at night, but never during the day. Habitat destruction is certainly a big concern :)

He is so cute. We have a ring tail possum nest in one of our trees. He is living on avocados at the moment from one of our other trees.

He definitely looks like he just woke up and is wondering what is happening. Excellent and opportune capture!

Here in urban Melbourne, we have ringtails and bushy tailed possums, and they have become a scourge. I agree they are beautiful creatures and we have upset the balance of nature.
