Dunsborough Spider Orchid by jodies

Dunsborough Spider Orchid

Now I'm going out on a limb here naming this one, a lot of these orchids are very similar so its quite difficult to know exactly which one it is. I do hope it is a Dunsborough Spider orchid because they are considered rare so seeing one is very special.
I don't know the name either, but I like the photograph.

You have some beautiful orchid shots, Jodie. So far this season, I've only seen cowslips and snail orchids.

@merrelyn Thanks Merrelyn, I met a fellow in the bush today who said the orchids are a bit later this year due to the cold winter. I had never heard of a snail orchid, I thought you may have been teasing me, so I just looked it up...and it really does look like a snail!

@jodies They lack the wow factor of many of our other orchids :)

great orchid photo...I've been to WA a couple of times taking orchid and wildflower photos...its not so easy in a breeze or wind...which was pretty common. I hope it is the Dunsborough Spider Orchid...nice to find something rare
