I really do envy you being able to take shots along the beach as often as you'd like (barring any crazy weather). LOVE looking at them and living the warmth through your eyes!
@luvmynynix thanx Laurie-have to take this chance in the morning while it's still sunny - after that, all rain from noon till 8:00 -matter of fact,i feel sorry/ guilty-sharing this summery images cus I know-some, still affected from the vortex effect and don't wanna be selfish..but there's nothing really interesting to shoot here...(-weeds,birds,skies?---bleeeeehhh:)'nway,sending u warm energy today ok-:)
Another brilliant shot. I'm envious of the activity you get on your photos. I get so few views and even fewer comments. I guess I don't know what people want. This is so opposite from my first 365 experience - then I had tons of views/comments. Things are so different now. Sigh. I get rather discouraged.
Oh Deb,please don't be discourage-do whatever makes you happy, just play around and enjoy your project.Picasso said “never put the audience first in your mind---do it-- to satisfy and please yourself”.... then your audience.! Remember ,you can't make everyone happy--(artist,specially)--they live in their own world..What am saying here---Bake ur own cake, taste it first-if it's yummy-share it.--others will love it or some won't.When I started this project-i have no genre or direction and finally I decided to clean my act— I want simple blurry images-once in a while- of couse-i switched and change the mood.. I know some hate it but what's important is :i loved and am satisfied from it—with or without-comments,favs.pp or this new trending thing—Just enjoy, don't stress out,it will give U wrinkles-hA!!:)remember that...I never -ever comment this long-but I did it for U, Deb-'tho it took me a while to write it(dyslexic me-u know) Please take my advice as a friend—Shoot and be happy !!:) @dejongdd@dejongdd
Wonderful image! Love it. And I also love your words you replied to Deb @dejongdd ,they are so true. I don't have that much views and comments and I really don't care because I love what I do and if somebody who watches and likes it makes me even happier and photography addict.
Thank you for the encouraging words. Your advice is excellent. I know I shouldn't judge myself according to the opinions of others. My photography has improved dramatically over the years and I've managed to book photography sessions and even sell several prints. That must mean something. I really appreciate your stepping out of your comfort zone to encourage me. As a teacher, I can totally understand the sacrifice you made by typing so much. It means the world to me. I will try to do better to take your advice. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy your work and find inspiration through your eyes. (I just wish I had a beach right now!)
Joey, I love architecture and architectural photographs. And I love the processing here.
As for the long answer to Deb, I was just joking with Amrita @amrita21 privately since she pointed it out to me that my Rope (high contrast) had been on the PP. I missed it and she suggested that I should look for details using the link created by Alexis @abirkill which takes you to the PP statistics for your username. Well, I was considering that in my year one I was only twice (2 times!!!) on the PP and was commenting that I'm not at all that popular....
I agree with you completely and do what I do for my own sake and to express myself. Never mind the stress of being praised and PP(ed) and TT(ed) and Trend(ed).
Thanks for your words and advice.
@joemuli Yes, I know. That is why we stopped going there. Much more prefer the peace and quiet of Jekyll Island. Sometimes you find that you are the only one on the beach...especially during weekdays.
I love this! I have yet to learn about high and low key processing, but this inspires me! Your kind words to Deb are inspiring as well, I am also dyslexic, so was Picasso. :) I started this project to help me focus on visual art again, it had been so long. I knew there was a reason I loved your photos!
Another wonderful capture here Joey, I love architectural shots, fabulous high key and composition, great words too. It was so nice to reply to Deb as you did and yes do it because you like it!
You have such a big, kind heart Joey, and your words to Deb are very wise. It is easy to forget why we are doing this sometimes and get too concerned with (perceived) popularity, or lack of it. Love what you have done here, in your own inimitable style.
It's been a while since I was there, but it kind of looks like it.
IWIHTTS ???? Please give me a clue
