Really cool! Dark, yet the perfect exposure for the mood. That seagull needs to have the rich blackness to become a powerful point of interest in the image, and the highlights of the waves are almost perfectly white so as to lead your eyes all around the image. The darkness creates mystery and a feeling of desolation.
This looks brilliant on black. There's so much I like, the curve of water the foam on the wavelets, the silhouette of the birds in the water and the dramatic sky. I don't find it too dark. That's only the case when I haven't a clue what's being shot, or I fear that my cataracts have grown cataracts!
