No shadow..

The rest of this flower was in the shade, it looked dramatic but took the emphasis away from the amazing colour... Not sure if I did the right thing with such a severe crop though.

I think the petals are too big for this choice of picture. I don't know why. Can't explain it. The petals themselves have so much colour and design!

@maggiemae you may have a point, may work better with one single petal, or many finer ones, this makes them look a bit lumpy.

I like the severe crop - it leads the viewer to ask what was 'out of sight'. Though I do believe I've guessed it is the Sicilian Honey Garlic :))
