High Speed Train by jon_lip

High Speed Train

Went out to the post office on Tuesday so I took the camera down to the disused canal to see if there was anything to ignite my photographer's eye. All I found was a lot of mud and no signs of wildlife. So I went to see what the rail lines had to offer and here is the high speed from Oxford to Swindon. I got very wet as it began raining (again) and did not stop ............... :-(
Very nice - I like the perspective and motion

@rumpelstiltskin @carolscho @anniesue Thanks everybody! It was worth getting wet for, the fence prevented me from getting any closer - I was about 6 feet from the tracks, just as well really I suppose! (for Carol that's about 2 metres 😄)

I love the motion on this. Poured with rain here yesterday too, particularly in the evening. Hubby came home from the station like a drowned rat! Sun is back out today though.

@jon_lip Hey don't forget I grew up in the US and sure saw no sense in the metric system in the beginning! ;-) Now, it makes perfect sense, as it does...

@carolscho Ooops! Didn't know about you growing up in the States. How I just love our cousin's sticking to good ole feet and inches😀. BTW I don't think that I will ever get my head around kilometers .... 🤔
