Unusual camera position for this one. As I did not have my tripod with me, I had to improvise and lay the camera flat on its back. Focusing and composition were tough but the real problem was triggering the 9 brackets with the timer. The menu button is on the back on my D300 and just as I was about to accept defeat I remembered I had packed my remote trigger. Best €7 I've ever spent :-)
This is Tthe Tibidabo Cathedral del Sagrat Cor, which looks down on Barcelona from the city’s tallest peak, Mount Tibidabo. Construction started in 1902 and was finally completed in 1961. I may upload another photo that shows the Cathedral from outside. It certainly is an impressive place.
very well captured. You bought back memories of me lying on the floor of a Cathedral in Scotland to a picture something like this. Thanks for the memories.
@jsw0109 Thank you Jeff. I actually had this ready a week ago but was not happy with the processing so let it sit for a while before coming back to it today...
@wardie Thanks Paul. I'm really happy with how it came out. I know some people don't like HDR but there was no way this was going to be anything like what I saw with my eyes with just one shot.
Amazing upward shot. Great job, Paul. A fav for sure. I had an upwards shot yesterday. One that I laid on my back to take. Your cathedral is much, much more impressive, though. I wonder, can you lay on your back in a cathedral?
@kmrtn6 Thanks Kylie.
