Blue sweet peas by josiegilbert

Blue sweet peas

I was talking to one of the gardeners at Arundel Castle, when she asked me if I had seen the blue sweet peas yet. When I said no, she took me round to the side of the greenhouse and showed me these. Apparently they are a very old variety, but aren't well known now.
Cool, are they edible, sorry it's almost dinner time here?

@dawnee Thank you.

@joev I think they're just for use as cut flowers and aren't the type of pea you can eat. I'll ask the gardener next time I see her.

@alfsson They were growing in a pot, so I think the gardeners grew them indoors and then put them out last week when the weather was hot.
