The Day the Music Died by joysabin

The Day the Music Died

Out walking this morning, only 19 degrees but saw this receiver turntable combo sadly sitting on the curb for pickup. Guess I am getting old...
Perfect title, what a loss to the world - I love vinyl

@graemestevens Thank you, I am glad to see vinyl beginning to make a come back!!! I recently saw Barnes and Noble bookstore had new records for sale, okay there were The Beatles, Carole King, Crosby Stills Nash and Young- but its a start.

However, turntables are not dead. They are coming back for those who love listening to music on vinyl. We have a new model at the family house in Portland and love bringing out the old records our late mother collected. Sinatra still sounds pretty good!!

@nydelignorsk I know, Barnes and Noble even started to sell new vinyl, shocked the pants off my 20 year. I am glad that the music hasn't dies but is allowing more avenues for appreciation.

@sdutoit I agree, shame that it ended up there. I am amazed what people get rid of- and not try to donate or recycle.
