Ashley @shesnapped my get pushed partner gave me the following challenge. "I noticed on one of your posts that you said you wanted to study the physics of light. So my challenge for you this week is to study the physics of light and come up with shots that illustrate what you've learned. Have fun!!!"
The view I see through my 8x10 on the ground glass is upside down and backwards because there is not a mirror nor a prism to re-bend the light from the image.
@shesnapped I have so enjoyed the challenge and will post a refraction shot (how light bends) tomorroow. There is so much to this physics of light that I have only touched the surface but am now hooked to learn more.
@nydelignorsk Thank you, there is so much that is above my head in this but I will continue to learn. @paulmann Thank you, my 'baby' is an old one without a name. I got it cheap at a sale about 14 years ago- only invested in a new lens. Just found out that some companies have stopped making these specialty lenses. @pickerandagrinner Thank you, I must admit that I don't take her out as much as I should but then my darkroom now is a bathroom so I get to set up and put it all away and I'm lazy. @izzyromilly Thank you, there is something about using a view camera that hits my inner geek and soul.
@octogenarian So sorry about my late answer- It most definitely is not a point and shoot but I look taking my time with her- gives me a great reason to be off by myself.
