That really got me looking hard!

What a clever idea! They both look very effective. I think I like the white background just slightly more.

I like the pictures side by side like this.

@la_photographic Thank you:) @frappa77 Thanks. As you know glass is both fun and frustrating. @overalvandaan Thank you, The positive one looks bigger even though it's not. @pixelchix Thank you, I am learning how to make digi negs for palladium printing. I think that this is one will use. Will post after my lensbaby/b&w month is done. @maskerade I know that I have been stepping into the strange zone lately. @stephanies I like both but the white one is what I plan to use as my negative for a palladium print. @francoise Thank you. I played with making the negative first but then wasn't sure so had to show both.

An interesting shot full of detail. I have no preference as they are both intriguing.

@susale Thank you a great deal. I am going to use this negative for a palladium print soon. Is it cheating to use the same image but print differently and then scan?

@paulmann Thanks, one is a positive (left side) and the other is an inverted one. I think that I'm partial to the inverted.

What a cool paper weight! Creative idea

At first glance I thought it looked like ice cubes. Great close up. In the future you may want to play around with wet ice cubes. The make interesting close ups at B&W or with a touch of color.

Love the contrasting backgrounds and great to compare them!

@elytra Thank you. I got mine from ebay but here is a site (w.dynastygallery.com/cat-84-1-192-2/all-jellyfish.htm?SortOrder=3
@nydelignorsk I am so going to use that ice cube idea. Thank you a gret deal.
@dishaparekh176 Thanks, the inverting of a b&w is where/how I get my digi-negatives for printing. I plan to print/make a palladium of this next month and post here.

I have been meaning to get back to this post, @joysabin what is a palladium print?
June 20th, 2016
@stephanies My photog roots are b&w film. I was introduced to palladium printing over 30 years ago and fell head over and heels in love. It is now considered alternative. It is a hand process and uses a contact process- no enlarger used just ultraviolet light and chemicals. Here is a link that might explain more-( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platinum_print)
